Paul Knowles serves as the Global Head of Marsh鈥檚 Private Equity and M&A services (PEMA) practice and is a member of Marsh's Global Specialty & Placement Executive Committee.
Under his leadership, the PEMA team harnesses the combined strengths of Marsh, Guy聽Carpenter, Mercer, and Oliver聽Wyman to provide comprehensive services to clients in the Private Capital sector and those involved in M&A activities.聽 The PEMA team, with a presence across Marsh's global office network, offers extensive client management services to both corporate and private capital clients engaged in M&A transactions. This includes customized support for private equity, infrastructure, and real estate clients at both the fund and portfolio company levels, along with tailored Transactional Risks (Warranty and Indemnity, Tax and Contingency) placements to facilitate M&A deals and address individual risk exposures.
With over 35聽years of experience in insurance broking, Paul has focused for the majority of his career on the global infrastructure, construction, and real estate sectors within the London market. His career also encompasses international placements in Hungary and Russia. Now based in New聽York, Paul has substantial expertise in structuring and managing risk and insurance programs for global contractors, infrastructure funds, and real estate clients. He has effectively overseen major construction projects worldwide, particularly in the power and energy, as well as civil engineering sectors.
Since early 2023, Paul has been fulfilling the role of Global Head of PEMA, following his relocation to New聽York,聽USA.
